Chapter 1 (Part 4)

The people gave me a name, Hobo I liked it, as soon as I was called I came running, full throttle. I really liked it here I got fed, watered and played with what more could a dog want. After a few days I caught on really quickly I learnt not only my name but the tin with wheels was called a car, the metal bars that opened and closed was called a gate and the people where called Shaun and Lynda. Shaun was the male Lynda was the female, I looked up to them both. We went for a walks also for car rides everything was great. Then one day we went for a car ride and got another female person called Dionne. She was great stroked me rubbed my belly and played with me. We went for a walk together me, Lynda and Dionne, we went to see one of Dionne’s friends, When we got there he went crazy over me, saying how much he wanted me how he would take me to school so I could learn to hunt, this is where I learnt what I was. I knew that I was a dog but I was a Brittany spaniel. I am special type of dog that goes hunting with men and guns looking for birds. They use my breed to make the birds fly out, I loved that idea but I was undecided wether I wanted to leave my family, but I loved the idea of going to school and learning new things. So I was left with Yanny (Dionne’s friend). I was excited but not very happy because it meant that I could not be with Shaun and Lynda my new family. After Lynda and Dionne left Yanny took me outside and put me in a cage. A cage again I do not like cages; it was very muddy and smelt funny. I had not been in the cage for long when Yanny came and got me out, he had a sad face, when I walked around the corner I saw Lynda and Dionne they had decided that they would keep me forever. I was ecstatic I would be part of a family forever. I could not keep myself from crying. My whole body was shaking. I had never been this excited before. It took a while for me to calm down enough to go back in the car.

The gate opened we got out of the car, and Lynda shouted Shaun he came outside and saw me and laughed I ran up to him jumped up and licked him. I was so happy to be back. This was my home and I never want to leave ever.
