They started to make me my very own house. It looked like a big box with a hole in the front. It was made with lots of pieces of wood on the outside. The inside had a different kind of wood. They said that I had two walls and that it was so it would not get too cold inside for me it would also be cooler for me in the summer. But where was the roof? I would get wet if it rained or very hot if it was summer. What was going on here did they not know this? People are supposed to have big brains, well bigger than dogs anyway.
The next day they must have realised their mistake because they put a roof on. The roof looked too big to me I wondered what they were thinking; it was because they made me a veranda on it so if I wanted to sleep outside I could and still have a roof over my head. They can be very clever when they want these people! They even painted the walls the same shade as their home, we matched! Shaun made me laugh to myself. He got inside my house and called me in, so I sat at the opening cocked my head to one side and peered in. I did not want to go in a box, I liked my freedom; There was no doubt in my mind these humans were beginning to love me. To go to all this trouble to make me my own house meant that I was certainly here to stay. I cautiously went in and quickly received a good stroke and was constantly told what a good boy I am.
After my house was finished they gave me my own place to sit, I think they call it a mat. I loved it a bit too much I think because I tried to bring it inside but it was too big so I chewed it in a few places to make it fit. I don’t think they liked my alterations because, that is the first time that I got shouted at; I do not think I will do that again! They kept moving my house from one place in the end it was placed near to the back wall. I did not mind where they put it to be honest as long as I live here they can move me wherever they like.
